Blogger has serious Font Deficiencies.

Blogger is easy...Too easy.

I tried to start a blog on wordpress, but I had to create some sort of thing on my computer from a zip file, do something in commands.  I could probably do it, I was just lazy (and I think I had to pay for something and I am cheap as hell).

I have been fiddling around with blogger for a while and decided to finally look at fonts.

I hate to be unoriginal, but I love helvetica like everyone else. However, Blogger sees to be too cheap to purchase Helvetica like microsoft used to be.
I was so pleased to find out when I got the newest version of word that microsoft now pays for helvetica.  Arial is okay, but its like buying generic processed cheese.  You can live with it, but you would choose a different option if you could (generic american cheese truly sucks!).

Really, blogger has none of the great fonts.  The only good one it has is Times New Roman which is great and classic, but I would rather have a sans-serif style for a blog (for those who don't know, a serif is the little fancy thins on the ends of letters that you see with a font like Times).

Their "Basic" fonts are some of the lesser fonts.  Courier is so outdated, the state department dropped it,   Georgia is a bad Times knockoff, imact is just ugly, Trebuchet is one for people who want to seem smart or sophisticated, and Verdana is just plain overused.  Their web fonts are even worse.

Call me a font snob, but I would like to have a choice, to have a good font like a Rockwell, a Trajan, a Futura, or an Avant Garde.  I guess you get what you pay for with a free blogging platform.
